Types of Licenses

There are three types of licensure in the state of Mississippi each with educational, examination and experience components that applicants must fulfill to become licensed. Pursuant to the provisions of the Universal Recognition of Occupational Licenses Act, Mississippi shall recognize occupational licenses obtained from other states.

  • For those who are seeking information about licensure, selecting one of the options below will provide details about requirements for that type of license and how to make application with the Board.
  • For those who are already licensed in Mississippi, selecting the option corresponding to your license will assist you in managing the requirements to maintain your license.
