The Board voted to revise the proposed Rule 4.3 that was submitted according to the Mississippi Administrative Procedures Act on September 30, 2025. The final rule was submitted to the Occupational Licensing Review Commission (OLRC), made up of the Governor, the Secretary of State, and the Attorney General November 5, 2025. The Executive Director and Board attorney met with the OLRC on December 12, 2025. The OLRC approved the final rule and issued resolution approving the Mississippi State Board of Examiners for Licensed Professional Counselors
